first you wipe your tears away
then you look in the mirror and try to fix your face, so it won’t showcase any pain
then you feel sorry for yourself because “it’s not that deep”
then you grin and prepare to pretend this breakdown didn’t exist and hopefully nobody notices so you can avoid all the questions
lastly it’s a deep breathe that will either make you start the first step all over again or move on
we live to cry out our pain another day
